Top 10 Shopping and Life Amenities In and Around The Lakes, Las Vegas

The Lakes is a gated community in Las Vegas which incorporates seven Lakes Villages with the total of 300 homes and a shopping plaza situated in the middle of the master-planned West Sahara neighborhood. The diversity of homes inside The Lakes is quite impressive - from condominiums to town houses to family homes to luxury villas; each with its own personality. Residences range in size from 1,500 to over 12,000 sq. ft. Perhaps the coolest thing about The Lakes is that it's the only spot in Vegas where homeowners can actually afford their own private shoreline and have a dock right in their own back yard! Other neighborhoods may have water reservoirs but their residents have to walk distances just to reach the water. Fortunately, this is not the case with The Lakes... Here are thirty acres of water available just behind your house!

Canyon Gate Country Club Community

Canyon Gate Country Club is a picturesque 18-hole golf course. It is rather challenging in terms of demanding accuracy over skill or strength because of the multiple water hazards and hilly surface. The course also abounds with purposely-placed sand bunkers and mature landscaping.

The Lakes

The Lakes is a 2-square-mile (5.2 km2) planned community located within the city limits of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is located in the western part of the Las Vegas Valley near the Spring Mountains and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The centerpiece of the community, and its namesake, is a large man-made lake. It was built from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, and at the time was at the edge of development in the valley. It consists of a mixture of single-family homes, apartments, condominiums, commercial and office. The community is bounded by Sahara Avenue to the North, Durango Drive to the east, Desert Inn Road to the South, and Hualapai Way to the West. Several other notable master-planned communities are adjacent, including Summerlin to the west and Peccole Ranch and Canyon Gate to the north. The Lakes was Las Vegas' first master-planned community with many homes constructed in the mid 1980s. Waterfront homes available.

Shops at Summerlin Centre, is an outdoor business, entertainment, fashion and retail district that is part of a mixed use development Downtown Summerlin within the affluent community of Summerlin, Nevada.[1] The center provides about 1,600,000 square feet (150,000 m2)[1][2] of retail and 200,000 square feet (19,000 m2) of business space.

Tivoli Village Food & Shopping Center

Although relatively close to the Las Vegas Strip (just 25 minutes drive to the north), Tivoli Village in Summerlin feels like worlds away from all the hype. The mall is a wonderful combination of shopping and dining experience presented in a comfortable outdoor setting. The list of local restaurants includes: Brio Tuscan Grille, Kabuki, Cantina Laredo, La Casa Cigars & Lounge, Leone Café, View Wine Bar & Kitchen, Echo & Rig, Tapas by Alex Stratta, The Crepe and Made LV. Those in favor of other activities than shopping and eating, will find Tivoli Village just as useful. Dog lovers will surely appreciate its designated dog-friendly areas, while those who like to keep it healthy may enjoy the local spa and one of the top gyms in the country. If you're in mood to taste the local life, Tivoli Village is well worth the drive!

Queensridge / Golf Gated Community

Queensridge Homes is an up-market European style subdivision encompassing 800 acres on the western edge of the Las Vegas valley. The community is a part of the integrated urban development of Peccole Ranch, near Summerlin, and is located close to the Badlands Golf Club. The latter is a challenging golf course landscaped in a desert style involving plenty of the arroyos, paseos and canyons which surround the community and contribute to the panoramic views of the valley.

Peccole Ranch

Peccole Ranch is a lovely serene integrated urban development situated on the western side of the Las Vegas Valley. The community embraces 640 acres, of which 284 acres are residential area and 46 acres are taken up by masterly landscaped tree-lined paseos and walkways built for the pleasure of all the local residents. Peccole Ranch houses 22 individual subdivisions created by various national and regional developers. Ten of these communities are gated and designed for those seeking extra privacy and seclusion. The master plan incorporates single family subdivisions, multiple family complexes, shopping venues, and office facilities. Parks, golf courses, and casinos are close by. The community has its own clubhouse and tennis courts.

Fashion Village at Boca Park is a 139,370 sq ft. open-air shopping mall sitting on the corner of Charleston Blvd. & Rampart Blvd. in Las Vegas. Opened in 2007, this lifestyle/specialty center comprises nearly 50 stores. Among them fashion design stores like Allen Edmonds, Bella Boutique, Boutique A La Mode, Chico’s, En Vogue, Guy La Ferrera, Jos. A Bank, Marcello Sport, as well as Joseph’s Classic Market, Hoffman’s Chocolate, Total Wine and more. The place is also grand with fine dinning spots, like Cafe 5151, Brio Tuscan Grille, Tap 42, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Rocco’s Tacos, Sushi Ray, and Uncle Tai’s.
